2NE1: (ANN/The Korea Herald)
After a successful two-day concert of South Korean group Big Bang over the weekend, Indonesian promoter Big Daddy Entertainment has announced another performance to look forward to – that of 2NE1 (pronounced: to Anyone or Twenty One).
The girl band is scheduled to perform at the Mata Elang International Stadium (MEIS), North Jakarta, on Nov. 24, as part of its New Evolution tour. It is the band’s group’s first world tour and will take in Asia, America and Europe.
The announcement of the Indonesia concert was made right after Big Bang wound up its performance here at MEIS on Saturday, when a banner promoting the 2NE1 concert was put up at the exit door.
The group comprises Lee Chae-rin (CL), Park Bom, Sandara Park and Gong Minji and was formed in 2009 under the management of YG Entertainment. Its song “I Don’t Care” won the song of the year category at the 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards, and “I Am the Best” won in a similar category in 2011.
