Globally Renowned Designer Jeremy Scott Personally Designs 2NE1′s World Tour Costumes

Globally renowned fashion designer Jeremy Scott will participate in 2NE1′s first world tour.

Jeremy Scott is to personally design 2NE1′s stage costumes for their global tour ‘NEW EVOLUTION’ which will be held at Seoul’s Olympic Park Gymnastics Stadium on July 28th and 29th.

What is overwhelming is that Jeremy Scott’s collection costumes aren’t being sponsored but that he himself is designing original costumes for 2NE1, and even for their dancers.

Jeremy Scott, who has been active in global fashion stages in places such as Paris, London, New York, and LA, has been selected as one of the 31 ‘most important figure in the fashion industry’ by Face Magazine. Many pop stars such as Madonna, Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, and Kanye West have shown their love for his designs.

The costumes 2NE1 members are wearing in the concert poster, which was revealed today, are from Jeremy Scott’s 2012 F/W Collection costumes and they personally transported them for the poster shoot.

There have been many cases where famous fashion designers designed the stage costumes for international pop stars’ concerts. It is a popular fact that Jean Paul Gaultier designed the ‘cone bra’ for Madonna and this year, Dolce & Gabbana and Jeremy Scott participated in designing the costumes for her world tour. It was also widely known that Georgio Armani designed Lady Gaga’s costumes for her recent world tour in South Korea.

However, it was very rare that a globally renowned designer like Jeremy Scott has designed the costumes for a South Korean girl group’s concert, so many people are excited to see what kind of fashion, along with music, 2NE1 will depict in their global tour.

Jeremy Scott has admitted he was a ‘Blackjack’ through mentioning 2NE1′s new updates on his Twitter – meanwhile, 2NE1 revealed that they enjoy wearing his designs and that they are his fans. Recently, Jeremy Scott has revealed a shoe design inspired by 2NE1.

With the addition of Jeremy Scott’s designs, 2NE1′s world tour is to be accompanied by global professionals in music, stage directing, and fashion. Travis Payne, who was the choreographer for Michael Jackson’s ‘THIS IS IT’ concert, will be directing the tour along with Divinity Roxx, who was the leader of Beyonce’s tour band. Furthermore, Michael Cotton, who has been in charge of the Superbowl, the Olympics, and ‘THIS IS IT’ stages is to take over the stage design for 2NE1′s concerts.

You know, I’m actually really excited for their world tour. And not because I will be attending one of their concerts, but because this will basically be a new 2NE1. I mean, it’ll be the same songs, choreography, etc…but with new outfits, new stage, and a whole new sound. New Evolution, meaning they’re evolving from their previous selves.
