Wassup Blackjacks! Welcome to the 4th edition of YGLadies: “Staff Picks”. The monthly series that  delves into the ‘Best of’ just about anything related to 2NE1!

Here you guys will be the ones voting in a poll that follows each month’s article, choosing the topic that we dive into each month! Then we will allocate 5 different staffs from YGL’s awesome team to discuss the topic of the month. Their insights will then be compiled in a write-up just like this one, of what we consider to be the top choiceson each topic.

This is a way for the Blackjack community to take a walk down the 2NE1 memory lane as well as to discuss what would be in the future for our fierce foursome. It is also an opportunity for all of you to get to know some of the awesome people here that are part of the team that runs YGL by reading their thoughts on certain 2NE1-related subjects!

This month’s topic: Top 5 Fan Boys

Over the years 2NE1 have accumulated many impressive fans, we take a look at several that have really stood out and consistently shown their love and appreciation of our girls. Here are the Top 5 2NE1 Fan Boys according to our Staff:

#5 Yoon Kye Sang: Chosen By tessie

Tessie formerly Tess used to be a Global Moderator, but has now transferred to our A-Team.  She is one of those staff members who zips and zaps all over the site.  She is helpful and a great asset to the team.  Be sure to say HI next time you see her around.

Although 2NE1 have many fans as a group and individually as well, one fanboy that stood out for me was Yoon Kye Sang. He’s an actor, known for his role as Yoon Pil Joo from The Greatest Love and is also a former member of idol group, g.o.d.

He made the list because of his adorable recommendation of  Bom’s Dont Cry in a interview, where he filled a short paragraph with praises like “I loved looking at her” and “Park Bom isn’t just an idol, she’s a musician“. I found it really touching the way Yoon Kye Sang described that he had felt uncomfortable when he found that Bom didn’t get alot of attention during her previous idol-musical activities, but that he was happy for her success now. This was not the first time he  mentioned Bom- he previously stated that he likes girl groups and in particular, 2NE1’s Park Bom, whom he felt has a unique style of singing that was hard to find.

I’m sure Bom appreciates having such a gorgeouse and thoughtful fan-boy, I hope he gets to meet her and fingers crossed he doesn’t stare too much keke.

#4 Block B: Chosen By jokerGK

 jokerGK one of our Royal Ace translators helps those of us not fluent in Korean understand all the hilarious things that the girls say during interviews and shows. She also helps out in other ways around the site.

Many of us know that when Block B first debuted, a lot people thought leader Zico looked similar to our leader CL. So from the start there was hopes for interactions and comparisons between the two groups.  Fans have not been disappointed as Block B from the start have shown their love for 2NE1 with leader Zico has imitated Minzy’s wall dance as well as CL’s rap in Can’t Nobody.

Other members has also shown their love for Dara, guesting in Arirang’s Pops In Seoul, they were asked by a fan if it is indeed true that the members are fans of the 2NE1 member. Without hesitation, member P.O. replied, “Yes, Jae Hyo and I love 2NE1′s Dara.” LOL! ^^” Further on, they emphasized that they like her as a fan and eventually imitated her infamous pose on her me2day updates! Such cute fanboys!

All of the Block B members have shown their love to 2NE1 on various occasions, whether it be in interviews or on shows and I would love to see more interactions between the tow groups as both are filled with quirky and  cute individuals.

#3 Jay McGuiness (The Wanted): Chosen By MzKyu

 Those of you who read the ‘Explore YGLadies’ and ‘YGL Staff Picks’ series will be super familiar with MzKyu. She created both series’ with you, our fabulous members in mind.  Rather than just regurgitating articles and pic, MzKyu’s goal is to help members manage the site better and give them more insight on us the staff. She is a marvelous addition to the team, so keep supporting her articles with tweets and comments to motivate her to keep writing. (FYI – Sara did not write this bio, lol.)

As a British Blackjack I felt it just right that I highlighted a Fanboy from “The Wanted”, a hugely popular British boy group!

Member Jay McGuiness has consistently shown his love for 2NE1 starting with an edition of their weekly show “Weekly Wednesday,” when he turned directly to the camera and asked fans “What’s this song from?” He then confidently chanted the chorus to “I Am the Best” and and stated, “If you find out tweet me.”

You can imagine the stir this caused, as fans ecstatically bombarded him with tweets  such as “Is @JayTheWanted a blackjack? Singing “I Am The Best” by 2NE1 – Jay jeil jalnaga~~” to which Jay replied, “Hell yeah! CL – Badass, Minzy – Sexy, Dara – Cute, and Bom – Gorgeous. …2NE1 – Talented.”  He more recently flaunted what appears to be one of his favorite shirts that reads – ‘I love 2NE1’ – when he appeared on the UK’s TV T4.

His love for 2NE1 is so adorable and at this rate, he’s sure to convert his fellow band mates and fans into Blackjacks too. It’s wonderful to see 2NE1 love slowly spreading all over the world and Jay is a prime example of this.

#2 Jeremy Scott: Chosen By hellosunshine

Moderators like hellosunshine are the backbone of our forum.  They work intimately with members to help them manage the site and to explain, and sometimes re-explain, our rules and formatting.  She is a diligent mod who we love having on the team.

Jeremy Scott, is full of praise when it comes to these four girls. We have seen many kpop idols sporting his designer clothes. Despite the overwhelming masses, only one gem in the crowd has caught his eyes. It is none other than girl group, 2NE1! From the outfits he designed for the girls at the Style Icon Awards to designing their world tour stage costumes, Jeremy has given his time and dedication to make our girls look the absolute B-E-S-T. I’m glad the girls love and enjoy wearing his clothes (even if we sometimes are ‘…..’ about them) =p.

Jeremy has also shown his love and support for 2NE1 on twitter; be it conversing with Minzy or Bom, to never forgetting to mention CL and Dara, or helping blackjacks in trending for the girls’ birthdays and anniversaries. He shocked the crowd when he made a special appearance during 2NE1’s first time in the states at BNB, which was held in Times Square, in NY. He also attended the girls’ concert on August 24th, being sure to not miss out on the LA stop of the New Evolution World tour.

Jeremy seems to always be updated with their newest songs and activities. He has always been apart of 2NE1 since the beginning, and I’m happy that their friendship has grown so much ^.^. From loving everything about 2NE1, their personalities, fashion, and music, we can easily proclaim Jeremy Scott a genuine blackjack and of course one of 2NE1′s top fanboys.

#1 Jay Park: Chosen By toannieone

toannieone is a talented illustrator.  Illustrators design all the graphics, buttons, flavicons, banners, t-shirts, everything and anything we need to promote projects, the site, and/or 2NE1.  Her creativity together with our entire Illustrator team, make the site such a great place to look at.

We all know that 2NE1′s number 1 fan boy is Jay Park! From publically dancing and singing their songs to praising them in interviews, he’s shown our girls all kinds of support! Many times stating that his favorite member is non other than the dancing queen, Minzy.

I chose him because he is a true fan boy of 2NE1. When he was asked which female groups they would like to perform with, Jay Park has consistently answered 2NE1 and stated that he would love to have duet with CL. He has been captured many times dancing and singing to “I am the Best”, which seems to be his favorite song of 2NE1′s. Moreover Jay has given 2NE1 so much support for their performances and albums, publicly tweeting his interest whenever they release something new and also interacting with Minzy on Twitter. It was awesome to see that he attended the Korean New Evolution Concert this year and got to see the girls rock it out on stage.

There are tons and tons of things that Jay Park done to make me choose him! I would love to see 2NE1 collaborating with him not only to put him out of his  fanboying misery, but also because I feel that adding Jay’s popular hip-hop and R&B style with a mix of  fierce and electric 2NE1, will create all sorts of awesomeness!
