“I Love You” Downloaded Over 2.5 Million Times in 4 Months

Another GAON and Billboard update is here! Weeks 15 and 16 of 2NE1‘s single ‘I Love You‘ are covered.
In Week 15 ‘I Love You’ was #14 on the Norebang Chart and in the 30s on two charts; Mobile and Streaming. Total downloads week 15 matched those of member Park Bom‘s 2011 hit ‘Don’t Cry‘ raking in over 2.5 million downloads thus far.
Week 16 saw ‘I Love You’ at #23 on the Mobile Chart and #20 on the Norebang chart: yes 4 months after its release ‘I Love You’ is still managing to rank this high. Downloads are slowing down as during week 16 ‘I Love You’ sees its first charting outside the Top 100 in any category. Still overall downloads matched last year’s ‘Hate You‘, showing that 2NE1 fans prefer to be loved. Total DAs match the #22 song of 2011 which was G.NA‘s ‘Black & White‘.
Check out the full charts below.

On the Billboard K-pop Hot 100, 2NE1 has charted at the exact same place both weeks, #75. ‘I Love You‘ is now tied for the #2 longest charting idol song currently on the chart with Lee Jong Hyun‘s (of CN Blue) ‘My Love‘. Only Sistar‘s ‘Loving U‘ has charted longer and is still currently on the chart as well as three trot songs. Note that Billboard charts earlier so these are 2NE1′s 16th and 17th weeks charting on the K-pop Hot 100.
