I Love You Spends 3 months in Top 50 on GAON
It has now been 12 weeks or 3 months since 2NE1 released their single ‘I Love You‘ and it remains on the Top 50 on GAON‘s overall chart coming in at #49 this week. It is also in the Top 30 on the Norebang and Streaming charts as well as #14 on the Mobile chart, only 1 spot down from last week.
This author suspects girls all over South Korea have changed their boyfriend/crushes’ cellphones’ ringtones to this song for anniversaries and love confessions. Total downloads has surpassed the #35 song of 2011 which was label-mates Big Bang‘s ‘Tonight‘ and overall DAs have surpassed last year’s MAMA Rookie Award winner Heo Gak‘s ‘Hello‘.

On the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100, 2NE1 comes in at #55 just outside the Top 50. As teasers for a suspected Epik High and newcomer Lee Ha Yi collaboration appear on the official YG Life Blog, I know Blackjacks are eagerly awaiting news of 2NE1′s comeback, which was once slated for October. Will 2NE1 rise this fall? It’s up to us!
