It’s time to bring our female idol star Style Profile series to a close but not before we give K-Pop’s baddest female, CL, a nod!

CL’s style

2NE1 blew up the K-Pop scene with debut single Fire in 2009 and leading the way was trailblazer CL. Rather than sing and dance pretty, 2NE1 is all about being bold and having fun (Nolza!) on stage and CL brings this carefree spirit to life off the stage as well through her personal style.

The 2NE1 girls are known to rock some funky styles in front of the cameras, but the pieces CL wears on a regular basis are much more ready to wear—with a glam twist. CL’s every day style is tough girl glam, as she often edges out an otherwise feminine piece, like a skirt, with a leather jacket or a pair of creepers. Still, like her Big Bang counterpart G-Dragon, CL is a curator of unique, designer items that often glam up an outfit.

Not to mention she has friends in some pretty high fashion places (Jeremy Scott and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, to name a few), making her style (and closet) all the more covetable.

How to dress like CL

Don’t be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone.

Go big and bold, whether it’s in the accessories (oversized sunglasses, huge hoop earrings or a head scarf are great places to start) or with prints. Start with a basic pair of cut off shorts and a shredded T-shirt and glam it up with studded leather jacket or, if you′re feeling really bad, a pair of chunky platforms.

CL is all about taking trendy pieces and making it her own, so whatever you wear, own it!
